Dr. Marina Shepelenko received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She graduated cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society and the Tomb and Key Honor Society. Dr. Shepelenko provides primary eye care with an interest in diabetic eye disease, pediatrics, myopia management, orthokeratology, and specialty contact lenses. She speaks Russian and Spanish.

Dr. Brent Ostoich graduated from Creighton University in 1982. He received his Doctor of Optometry along with a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science from Illinois College of Optometry in 1986.
Dr. Ostoich has been a frequent lecturer at optometric conferences and has been a clinical investigator for many contact lens manufacturers. He has a special interest in fitting specialty contact lenses on patients with eye disorders, such as keratoconus. A large part of his practice involves fitting bifocal contacts and scleral lenses. Dr. Ostoich also fits patients for orthokeratology, a corneal re-shaping procedure.
Dr. Mary A. Dougal received her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Loyola University School of Medicine. She completed an internship in general surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center and a residency in ophthalmology at Loyola. Dr. Dougal is board-certified.
She currently has staff privileges at Resurrection Medical Center. Dr. Dougal is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology. She attends continuing education courses and conferences to stay abreast of the most current ophthalmologic procedures and technology.
Dr. Kevin L. Sullivan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon with over 20 years of experience providing complete eye care. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Northwestern University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loyola University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Evanston Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Sullivan was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society at Northwestern and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at Loyola.
Dr. Sullivan performs cataract surgery, corneal transplants, laser surgery and laser vision correction. He has staff privileges at Resurrection Medical Center and St. Alexius Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Ethington joined the practice in 2013 and achieved partnership. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and received his medical degree with honors at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his internship year at the Resurrection Medical Center followed by his ophthalmology training at the Loyola University Medical Center. He is a skilled cataract surgeon and has a special interest in treating medical retinal disease such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema.
Dr. Christine M. Mata is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate studies in biochemistry and genetics. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in 2010. She completed an intern year at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Loyola University Medical Center in 2014. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. She is a skilled cataract surgeon and has a special interest in treating medical retinal disease such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema.
Dr. Thomas J. Conti attended The Ohio State University for his undergraduate education, and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and French. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. Dr. Conti completed an internship and his ophthalmology residency at McGill University Hospitals in Montreal. He also completed a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic, reconstructive and orbital surgery at McGill University Hospitals and St. Justine Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Conti is board-certified and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is fluent in French and Italian. Dr. Conti currently has hospital privileges at Resurrection Medical Center, Glen Oaks Hospital, and St. Alexus Medical Center.
Dr. Kevin R. McClellan is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from DePauw University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois. At DePauw, Dr. McClellan was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at Loyola University. Dr. McClellan currently has staff privileges at Resurrection Medical Center and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology. He attends conferences and continuing education courses to remain knowledgeable of the latest ophthalmologic procedures and technology.
Dr McClellan retired in June 2022.
